R.I.P. Moon

Moon died Thursday night. She was her usual self in the day but in the evening,I knew something was up.In the early hours she got into my arms and I held her for a couple of hours while she just drifted off.I don't feel too sad because she was very old and had a wonderful, spoilt life. She was not ill, just old and gradually everything ran down.Lance buried her in the garden.

Shopping.

There is nothing more cheering when shopping than seeing a goth in full black eye-linered ,white faced glory ,sweeping down the aisles in ASDA ,trailing his full length ,black leather coat ,buying micro wave pizza for one.

Gatefold Cover

When pre- recorded cassettes started being sold I wasn't impressed .Firstly because I had already rerecorded my albums onto cassettes of a far better quality than those used by the music companies at the time. ( yeah, that's why car steroes shredded double albums ) Secondly, where was the cover art?
One of the great pleasures of buying a new LP was the cover art, even better if it was a double gatefold cover.

OK,if you weren't into prog rock, you maybe missed out and have never heard of Roger Dean but everyone knows about Sgt. Pepper.
I still have my postcard from Wish You Were Here somewhere.
So CDs came out and there were a few more inches for artwork but not enough yet,the companies missed a trick. You see we play them on computers and there could be room on them for a glorious piece of cover art you could luck at while you listen.
Now sure sound quality and ease of listening has improved ,and some music videos are beyond brilliant but still now and then I look at my LPs still snugly preserved in the plastic dust covers I bought with them and miss a part of music.

For Sunday

Macro cats

I make cat macros all the time.
Would you like me to make them for your cat ? Post a picture and I'll see what I can do.

I've "adopted" a horse from a sanctuary

I've been meaning to do it for ages.I've adopted horses from here before but got ill,and ran out of money and one thing and another.
I'd saved the money up at 50p a week and meant to do it for Christmas but paid for Lance's on line game and my bras and wasn't sure how much I had and I told you all the story of trying to see my bank statements on line.So while I was so depressed about the heating hoohaa I thought sod it,it's a debit card so if the funds aren't there it just won't go through but it did and Victoria sent me her picture today.
She was born at the place which is called Redwings to a 22 year old mare in very poor condition and because of her poor start they did not want her to go out as a loan horse.Isn't she pretty ?
And so clever to type me an online letter.
