archiving a blog

A few people ,those moving from Multiply and others wanting to quit an LJ blog and start afresh have been curious about saving blogs.I found this tool in my wanderings.

I chose a fine week to start a group on LJ

So much stuff has gone on,some small and niggly like having to keep walking to the doctor's to sort out prescriptions.some nice like lunch with Lance's mum and shopping,.that I'm worn out.It doesn't take much but I don't think I can walk again for days.
I had meant to post more useful stuff for the Multiply Orphans group but I just can't.
There are already a few of us over there having jolly little chat's and I'm doing what I can to show people round.I've checked out Blogger again,I have one over there but find it very awkward to use and to add friends, reply to posts etc compared to Livejournal.
I'll be over there trying to track some of you down, but honestly,I'm tired.
On top of this, one of our local characters died.Franco was in his 70's had been a revolutionary fighter in Spain an Italy in his youth but in the last few years, alcohol had taken it's toll physically and mentally. He died very quietly and unafraid with friends around him,but we will all miss him.

Went shopping

for a pair of earrings and a coin purse, ended up with a little moonstone angel statue and a silver cat bead for my Pandora bracelet.

My welcome group on Livejournal

http://multiply-exs.livejournal.com/
It will be very open at first but I will moderate posts just to filter spam, there will be no censoring,I'll let it through even if I disagree.
I hope it will be a way for us all to stay in contact.
It is not just for us but for ANY Multiply user looking for a new home.
From there we can friend each other again, reform our own communities, find new groups to follow and have an island haven to rescue us when this place sinks beneath the waves.
I'm going to post this alll over to cast as wide a net as possible,so sorry to my friends, you will get to see it a lot but I think it's important.I don't want to lose my best buddies.

new to Livejournal

If enough people are interested,I can sent up a group on Livejournal for new users who have migrated from Multiply. It will allow us to inter react and find our way around like we did when we first came here from 360.
Of course if you are friends I've met since then, you have no idea what I'm going on about.
names I cou,ld use are
Escape from Multiply
Multiply orphans
Multiply,where are you?
Friends of Multiply.
Anyway,if you are interested,I'll set it up and broadcast it to Twitter and Facebook too.
I then would be happy for you to pass it on to your contacts,it would not be for just my friends, but friends of friends etc.

Follow me here

http://www.livejournal.com/
I know a lot of people followed me here from Yahoo 360.I'm very sad at this site closing down.I have kept up a blog on Livejournal even longer than on here. It's a similar format. You can post longer blogs, unlike the quick Facebook updates, post videos, pictures, links etc.
It also has very lively groups,so if you are a huge fan of cats wearing things, popular TV shows or want to bitch about bad service, you can find one.
You can also decorate the site with a theme like here.Honestly,I have blogs on Blogger and Wordpress and Livejournal is the nearest to Multiply.
You can also create log ins with a Facebook or Twitter account.
This is my blog there.
I hope some of you will follow me there ,I would hate to lose touch. It took me months and months to find all the 360-ers,hope it's not so difficult this time.
I don't know if LJ has a mass import tool,I'll find out .

August Poetry

August

She dreams of August in the singing morning..
When all the little things come out to play,
When every spider's web is sticky, lacy,
And every kid will have the pinkest day.
She fell in love in August as a girl...
His smile was melting smooth like green ice cream,
She wanted him in August and she got him,
He was her love, her every glowing dream.
August takes you back to yellow meadows,
To days when Grandmas made you lemonade,
To nights when how you begged to stay out later,
And afternoons with novels in the shade.
To kittens that you loved
and have forgotten...
To mom and dad who loved you for all time..
To him who waited somewhere in the hot night..
To kisses made of moonbeams..green as lime..
August, sultry August, month of magic....
Dragonflies become you...you are rare,
Fireflys anoint you with their glowing...
August burning month...your love I wear.

After the bath

Of course the point of the last blog was the weird things that happened to my nail polish. My nails are alternately gold and pale green at the moment. The red dye turned the gold an orangey-peach colour that was rather nice. The green was weird,it stayed green in places then in others went sort of purple.I rather like it.

Bath Adventures

I usually dye my hair in the bath. Now,despite my encroaching tears,my hair remains stubbornly not grey apart from a patch of sprinkles oner my left temple.I'd love it to go grey so I could dye it whacky colours easily but no.
So,I got in the bath, set out the stuff on the edge including plastic gloves in a little box.I got in to the bubble bathed luxury, looked for the gloves and they had gone.Got out of the bath briefly to look but couldn't see them so decided sod it and applied the dye with bare hands.
Left it on for the right length of time, added water and worked it up and rinsed then used the shampoo provided.Of course as you know shampoo kills bath bubbles and lo and behold, there were the gloves, bobbing along happily ,no longer hidden by the foam.
